The Nordic Domain Bundle

Nordic, not just Scandinavian

Five countries, five registries, one check.

Norway, Sweden and Denmark are Scandinavia. Add Finland and Iceland and you have the Nordic region - five countries, five separate domain registries, each with its own rules and its own flat price. .no is the odd one out: Norid only allows a Norwegian entity to hold it, which is the entire reason our trustee service exists. The other four are open to anyone, anywhere, no local presence required.

None of the five run premium pricing for short or valuable names. A registry charges the same flat fee whether the name is a.se or a full sentence, so the price only ever depends on which country you pick, never on the name itself.

Questions

Is "Nordic" the same as "Scandinavian"?

Not quite, though people use them interchangeably. Scandinavia is strictly Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Finland and Iceland are Nordic but not Scandinavian. This bundle covers all five, which is why we call it Nordic rather than Scandinavian - it is the geographically accurate umbrella term for the group.

Can I register all five myself instead?

Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland: yes, any registrar will sell you those directly. Norway: no. Norid, the .no registry, only allows a Norwegian entity to hold a .no domain, which is the entire reason our trustee service exists. The other four have no such restriction.

Does the price change based on the name I pick?

No. None of the five Nordic registries run premium pricing for short or valuable names - each charges the same flat registry fee no matter what the domain says. The price only depends on which TLD you pick, never on the specific name.

What if the name is only free on some of the five?

Check once and you will see all five results side by side. Register only the ones that come back available - there is no requirement to take all five.
